Nazir Naji Abusing a Journalist

The civil movement for restoration of Judiciary was pain in many an ....

The fissures and clefts which was created by then, are still in existence, and these dissections, crevices are manifold and complex in nature. These exist among politicians, intellectuals, journalists, anchors and columnists.

I have no clue whether it is merely a coincidence or a gruesome fact that the people who were against the restoration of Judiciary are often found on the wrong side, praising wrong people, criticizing good gestures and (more importantly) showing disparity between their own theory and practice.

The background of this voice clipping is that: Mr. Nazir Naji, an otherwise respected senior journalist, was contacted by a junior journalist of his own group (Jang Group) who was working on a story regarding allotment of plots to journalists (apparently for showing favor and support to the Government).

The questions of young journalist clearly perturbed Mr. Naji and he got exasperated. In his rage and ire he hurled an array of classic Punjabi Abuses to the journalist and the supposed mastermind, Mr. Ansar Abbasi (supporter of restoration of Judiciary).

The question is, even if Mr. Abbassi was behind this all, does it make any justification for taking plots from Government. And if Mr. Naji was right, why was he annoyed to this degree?

Is it because of what an old saying goes: “Sach Baat Sun Ke Aksar Hum Ko Buri Lagi”??? Decision is yours. But now we know why investigative journalism is not everyone’s cup of tea ;)
